CleverMoms Blog

This is always an interesting topic… As my children have gotten older  ( now 13 and 14) it is getting increasingly harder to find low budget things for them to do over the summer. I would love to hear ideas about what you do with your kids that is fun and low cost.. for all ages…. Please share your ideas with us!

Hello Clever Shoppers…

It has been a busy month here in Northern Virginia.. I thought I would share a few pictures with you of my daughter Haille. Haille was just 2 when I started CleverMoms and just had her 13th birthday! Recently, she was hospitalized at Children’s Hospital in Washington, DC, to check for possible seizures. Fortunately they didn’t find anything but we did come home with some adorable pictures..

There has been lots of controversy the last several weeks about this vaccine.. lots of information and misinformation.  Are you planning to vaccinate your family or not, and if so, how did you come to your decision? What is your advice for others regarding this vaccine?

  • None
  • Tonya S Peterson: I send my kids to a local camp called Baptist Park.com. Our church gives scholarsips to members, maybe yours would too. I also send them to The Main
  • Anne: Great idea on the pool.. it is a bit more expensive in our area, sadly.. but the kids love the pool.. all ages! We are fortunate and live near DC
  • Kay: The local zoo! They have different shows throughout the year, the price of a daily ticket isnt enough to break us, and you can usually get a family me
